Xiaomi has just launched its latest WiFi 6 compatible router called the Mi AX1800. As part of the announcement, the Brand revealed the specifications, design, price and date for the router. First up, the company has priced the router at just 329 RMB or Rs. 3,494. The Xiaomi AX1800 is currently available for pre-booking on the Chinese Online Shopping platform; JD.com. Interested buyers can get the router at a launch discount for 299 RMB or Rs. 3,175. However, this discount is only available in the pre-order period.
In terms of signal speed, the 2.4GHz/5GHz frequencies both support two Qorvo high-performance independent signal amplifiers. This improves the coverage by 50% and increases the signal strength by 4dB. It achieves a parallel wireless speed of up to 1775Mbps, downloading an HD movie in 8 seconds. This is a 52% improvement over the AC1200 router.
The router ships with 256GB of RAM and supports Mesh Networking, ensuring uninterrupted signal coverage in the house. Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi Router AX1800 supports the connection of up to 128 devices simultaneously.
On top of that, it has a customized built-in Tencent Online Game Accelerator for speeding up online gaming experience on PC, as well as smartphones.
The Mi Router AX1800 can connect with up to 128 devices simultaneously. For Xiaomi devices, the router can connect using the Mi app. The router also gets dual-band (2×2) Wi-Fi 6 support which delivers speeds up to 1,775Mbps, which is up to 52 per cent higher than a traditional AC1200 router.
