GTA V free video game download offer crashed Epic Games online store; claim a free copy until May 21

Grand Theft Auto (GTA) is one of the most iconic video game franchises there is. Almost all of us have played a version of the game and have fond memories. The latest version, GTA 5, which is also the second best selling games of all time with over 120 million copies sold till date, is currently offering the game to the public completely free of cost for a week, until May 21 on the Epic Games Store. Just to add the cherry on top of the cake, it is not the basic version of the game, instead, it is the premium edition, which comes bundled with a cash bonus of $1,000,000 that can be used inside GTA Online.

The massive number of people trying to get a free title – the traffic on the online store may have also affected other Epic services as well. An official Fortnite Twitter account explained that Epic was “investigating issues” on the PC and Mac. They also said that there were issues on the iOS and Android platform as well. Additionally, Epic’s Battle Breakers mobile game was also facing issues during the day. Having said that, Epic’s status page now says that both Fortnite and Battle Breakers are fully operational again.

Epic is giving away the Premium Edition of the GTA V. The edition includes the complete GTA V story, Grand Theft Auto Online, and all existing gameplay upgrades and content, according to the studio, and as well as the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack which gives you an additionally $1,000,000 bonus cash for GTA Online.
