MediaTek unveiled its latest Dimensity series chipset called the Dimensity 820 earlier today. The successor to the MediaTek Dimensity 800 brings increased CPU and GPU performance and improves 5G connectivity. At the same event, MediaTek announced that the first smartphone to feature the latest Dimensity processor will be the Redmi 10X.
Redmi 10X smartphone will launch on May 26. According to the company, the phone will be powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 820 SoC and support 5G connectivity. Meanwhile, a report has claimed that Redmi 10X will get a 4G variant as well as a Pro model. The Redmi 10X 4G was reportedly spotted on Google Play Console last week. Moreover, the Redmi 10X is tipped to come with quad rear cameras and 5,020mAh battery.
Redmi 10X specifications and features
As for the core specifications, the Redmi 10X is expected to ship with a 6.53-inch full HD+ display. The device is expected to launch in both 5G and 4G models, powered by the Dimensity 820 5G and the Helio G70, respectively. While the former has been confirmed by the brand, and the latter was recently spotted on the Google Play Console.
Coming to the optics, the quad-camera setup on the back is speculated to comprise a 48MP primary camera, accompanied by 8MP, 2MP and 2MP sensors. The handset is rumoured to feature a 13MP sensor in the front. Fuelling the smartphone will be a beefy 5,020mAh battery.
While we already know the colour variants of the 5G model, the 4G variant will be offered in White, Sky Blue, and Green colours. The former will be made available in 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB variants, and the latter will come in 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB configurations.
Reports suggest that the Redmi 10X will start at RMB 1,499 (~Rs 16,000). However, all this is just speculations at this point and we suggest taking the information with a pinch of salt. We should know the official details soon as the launch is just around the corner.
