OnePlus TV Q1 and Q1 Pro: Specs, release date and details
Xiaomi’s Mi TV and Realme TV are soon going to get serious competition from OnePlus. The company on Monday confirmed that it will launch an affordable OnePlus TV especially for the Indian consumers on July 2. The company is yet to confirm the name of the OnePlus TV but has revealed that the starting price will be set under Rs 20,000.
OnePlus in its latest tweet revealed the price category of the upcoming OnePlus TV. The company noted, “The price of the New OnePlus TV Series will be stating from RS 1X,999. Can you guess the price.”
OnePlus not only invented the flagship-killer category for smartphones, but has almost perfected the art of creating phones that offer tremendous value. So when OnePlus decides to get into an all-new product category, you sit up and take notice.
Headphones and accessories might have been experiments for the company, but now OnePlus is betting big with the OnePlus TV. There are two models: one with a slide-out soundbar and one without. The first two versions are aiming for the popular 55-inch size, with larger models to follow.
OnePlus TV Q1 and Q1 Pro specification
Design
OnePlus TV Q1 Pro features a QLED 55-inch panel with 4K resolution. It supports HDR 10 and Dolby Vision. QLED, which stands for Quantum Light Emitting Diode works similar to the LED but uses quantum dot technology. The TV features Gamma Color Magic processor. OnePlus is reportedly sourcing the panels from TPV Display Technologies. The smart TV range will initially be launched in three countries namely the US, India, and China.
Connectivity
The TV range comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and offers a “unique Android TV experience”, according to the company. OnePlus TV comes with support for Amazon Alexa, so the TV can be controlled by people using their voice either through previously-revealed Google Assistant or Alexa. Alexa Skill page for OnePlus TV reveals that a user can turn it on/off, mute the television or increase/decrease volume as well as change channels, via voice-controls. The OnePlus TV Alexa Skill is already live.
